We meet in the Private Dining Rooms, which are located on the 1st floor of the hospital across from the cafeteria. We would love for you to come join our group. These meetings are for pre-ops, post-ops, or anyone thinking of having a bariatric procedure. It does not matter what procedure you have had or who your surgeon is. EVERYONE is welcome.

Support Group Meetings for 2009

We will be having two support group meetings a month in 2009. Below you will find a list of our meetings. Our meetings will typically be the 3rd Thursday of each month and the fourth Saturday of each month. Always check this site to make sure that changes have not been made.

Alabama Bariatric Support Reunion

The Alabama Bariatric Professionals will be sponsoring the Alabama Bariatric Support Reunion on Saturday, April 4, 2009.

When: 4/4/09 (Saturday)
Where: Oak Mountain State Park, The Sandpiper Pavilion which is located on the lake and next to the public beach.
Time: 10:30 a.m. - until
Who: ALL are welcome !!!! Pre-ops, post-ops, people preparing for surgery, or anyone thinking about having a weight loss surgery. Bring your families and come out enjoy this time with us.
Cost: This event is free, but there is a charge to get into Oak Mountain State Park.
Day Use Fees For Oak Mountain: Weekends and Holidays: $3 for Adults (children 12 and older are considered adults), Children 6 to 11 years of age: $1, Senior Citizens 62 years of age and older: $1, Children age 5 and under are not charged a day use fee.
